Askelad and the Music of Norway at Summerwood of Chanhassen

We bring our “Norway and Askelad” program to Summerwood of Chanhassen. Askelad is Norway’s folk hero! He is the underdog who always prevails against all odds by his wits, ingenuity, and good fortune. Margi Griebling-Haigh wrote Askelad and the Seven Silver Ducks for us to tell of one of his famous exploits in words and music. She also illustrated an Askelad book/CD combo we recorded of the tale, so you can take the story with you or share it with family and friends. The program is free and open to the public. No actual trolls or ducks will be harmed in the course of the performance.
